Project: 3D Building Visualization System:

Client: NY-based IBM Partner Homeland Security Technology Company

Lomasoft Consulting: Principal System Architect, Sr. Programmer

Project Summary: Lomasoft Consultants and client technical staff developed a new generation 3D Building Visualization System which enables detailed three dimensional modeling and visualization of building floor plans and interior structures. The system enables model creation from a variety of input sources including blueprints and CAD models. The system enables accurate tying of building models to known geographic coordinate systems using rigorous photogrammetric techniques , an expertise of Lomasoft Consultants. This in turn enables export of geospatially precise building models which can be used in Google Earth and Microsoft Virtual Earth. Export formats include VMRL1, VRML2, and Collada. The system includes advanced 3D visualization functions based on OpenGL and Open Inventor. The 3D viewing system enables real time virtual walk-through of the buildings, 3D route planning, and 3D search functions. Walkthroughs can be saved and exported to a variety video codecs and container formats including MPEG, AVI, and WMV.

 

Project: iPhone OpenGL Compatibility Layer:

Client: Technology Company

Lomasoft Consulting: Principal System Architect, Sr. Programmer

Project Summary:  Lomasoft Consultants developed OpenGL compatibility layer that enables legacy OpenGL programs to run seamlessly on the iPhone OpenGL ES implementation. The compatibility layer provides mapping of immediate mode OpenGL primitives to OpenGL ES vertex array primitives. Additionally a full implementation of OpenGL display lists enables legacy programs based on OpenGL display lists to be utilized.

 

Project: Real Time Location Service (RTLS) Engine

Client: Technology Company

Lomasoft Consulting: Principal System Architect, Senior Progammer

Project Summary: Lomasoft Consultants developed a Real Time Location Service (RTLS) Engine which integrates with wireless Chirp Spread Spectrum based asset tracking hardware. The RTLS engine employs leading edge technologies including Hibernate Spatial, PostGIS, Mule, and Apache to provide a robust set of web service APIs for the management of real time asset tracking information. The RTLS Engine provides the ability to intelligently track and monitor a large number of assets in real time and to analyze historical location data for a variety of security and facilities management applications.

 

Project: ASP.NET Freezer Monitoring System

Client: Leading Biotech Company

Lomasoft Role: System Architect, Database Design, Senior Programmer

Engagement: 7 Months

Project Summary: Lomasoft Consultants developed an ASP.NET 2.0 (C# ) Web Part application which utilizes a wireless sensor network to monitor several hundred low temperature freezers located in client's San Diego facility. Lomasoft consultants designed the application from the ground up to utilize the ASP.NET 2.0 Web Part framework thereby providing an integration path with Windows SharePoint Services 3.0. The Application utilizes the ASP.NET Web Part Personalization Database and Connection Framework. Lomasoft consultants additionally designed and developed all aspects of the application, including the backend database schema and stored procedures using SQL Server 2005, SQL Server Reporting Services, and SQL Server Integration Services. The application also utilizes the BIZTALK Business Rules Engine.

 

Project: Multi-Technology Seamless Interoperability

Client: Fortune 50 International Finance Corporation

Engagement: 5 Months

Project Summary: Lomasoft Consultants developed single sign-on technology that enabled interoperability between ASP.NET Forms Authentication and J2EE based authentication. This involved extensive analysis of ASP.NET’s cryptographic techniques and development of comparable techniques using the Java Cryptography Extension (JCE). The technology enables users who authenticate on Client’s JSP based web site to seamlessly transition to and authenticate on partner ASP.NET based sites.

 

Project: ForceViz Geospatial Visualization

Client: Technology Company (Technology Sold to Fortune 1000 Company)

Lomasoft Consulting: Principal System Architect, Senior Programmer

Engagement: 5 Project

Project Summary: Lomasoft Consultants Developed the ForceViz geospatial visualization technology using Microsoft Visual Studio 2003/2005 and C++ (native and managed utilizing .NET framework). ForceViz enables GPU based high-performance visualization of geospatial and other N-dimensional data. This work required in depth knowledge of OpenGL and GPU based 3D graphics and computational techniques, areas of Lomasoft expertise. Additionally, ForceViz seamlessly displays feature data from any OGC compliant Web Feature Server (WFS) via Web Services.


Project: Linux Cluster Accoustics Processing / Distributed 4D Visualization

Client: SPAWAR (U.S. Military) Sub-Contract

Lomasoft Consulting: Project Management, Software Design, Programming, Training

Engagement: Multiple Projects, Multi-Year

Project Summaries: Lomasoft consultants managed and directed all aspects of assigned projects involving software development, new technology configuration, coding and debugging, along with technical training for staff members who utilize the technology. Design object-oriented software development process and methodology working in multi-platform environments and utilizing various coding methods and languages.

  • Linux Cluster Acoustics Processing: Lomasoft Consultants spearheaded development and execution of framework for a Linux cluster consisting of six machines in which each unit contained two Intel Xeon processes.  Lomasoft consultants designed the framework to be scalable and support clusters consisting of any number of nodes. Additionally, Lomasoft consultants created the framework, utilizing the Native POSIX Threads Library (NPTL), sockets, critical sections, semaphores, and mutexes in Redhat Linux 9, enabling acoustic and signal processing algorithms to take maximum advantage of the hyper-threading capabilities.

  • Distributed 4-D Visualization: Lomasoft Consultants developed and designed the architecture and prototype for a distributed 4-D visualization system.  Lomasoft consultants designed the system to utilize data from a variety of sources and based it upon J2EE architecture. Lomasoft Consultants additional developed the system with the ability to integrate heterogeneous data from a variety of sources and display changes in database upon time and predictive models.  Additionally, Lomasoft Consultants created a working system prototype that utilized various client programs (independent platforms for Windows and Linux) to show the development phases and direction of the project. We utilized various programming languages and technology tools to develop the client programs including C++, OpenGL, Open Inventor, and various Java-based technologies including JSP, EJB, JMS, JDBC, and XML.  Finally, Lomasoft consultants wrote customized code using PERL programs and shell scripts to provide the necessary glue logic to integrate various data required by the prototype system.

 

Project: Internet Radio Company Creation & Technology / Technology Redesign

Project Summaries:

  • System Redesign: Senior Lomasoft Technical Professionals devised and implemented revised system architecture Internet radio web site based on ASP.NET 2.0 and the DOTNETNUKE Portal Framework. This involved migration of legacy ASP site to ASP.NET. Performed coding using Visual Studio 2005, IIS 6, ASP.NET, SQL Server, T-SQL, HTML, JavaScript, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET User Controls and ASP.NET Script Callbacks. Lomasoft architects evaluated capabilities of Ajax.NET and Atlas to devise control migration strategy. Lomasoft Designers developed remote Universal Plug and Play (UPNP) media controller using Microsoft peer to peer SDK, IPV6 and .NET framework.
  • Company Creation & Technology:  Senior Lomasoft Executives created a performance-tracking tool to generate detailed public performance data for submission to the appropriate agencies (ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, RIAA etc.). We utilized various system technologies and coding methods including Microsoft IIS, Windows 2000 Server, Windows Media Services, Windows Media Format SDK, SQL Server, JavaScript, VBScript, ASP, HTML, DHTML, SOAP, and C++.  Lomasoft Technical Professionals developed advanced RPC mechanism enabling AJAX like functionality for client side JavaScript applications and eveloped targeted audio advertisement insertion technology for Windows Media and MPEG (MP3) audio streams. This task required detailed knowledge of the Windows Media Format SDK and MPEG standards. Lomasoft personnel developed a JACK music locker system which enabled remote storage and streaming of CD collection.  Lomasoft consultants performed coding tasks in C++, TSQL, and JavaScript. The tasks involved Digital Audio Extraction, WMA Encoding, and development of HTML and JavaScript based user interface. Additionally, Senior Lomasoft Business Professionals negotiated webcasting license agreement with RIAA counsel and managed ll aspects of relationship with RIAA and record labels.

 

Project: 3D ShapeView

Client: Technology Firm

Lomasoft Consulting : Software Architect, Senior Programmer, Marketing, Negotiation

Engagement: Multi-Year Engagement

Project Summary: Lomasoft Senior Technical Professionals developed the product concept for the 3D ShapeView Visio Addon. Performed implementation and coding utilizing C++, MFC, OpenGL, DirectX/Direct3D, DirectShow, VBA, and COM/ActiveX. Lomasoft oversaw product marketing and managed strategic relationships with Visio and Microsoft including negotiation of in-box distribution agreement. Lomasoft played key role in communicating product vision to Microsoft which led to selection as a participant in Microsoft’s Innovation on Windows Showcase at COMDEX.

 

Project: Tax Project / Automated Toll System / TCA Conversion

Project Summaries:

  • Tax Project: Lomasoft Consultants designed and developed Visual Basic programs to support client tax form processing.  We analyzed ata communication/migration needs and developed a Visual Basic program to interface with an Oracle Database via ADO.  Additionally, Lomasoft Consultants coded and designed the program with a user-friendly front end allowing clients to enter data from tax forms while the system generated reports in response to entered information using Crystal Reports.

  • Automated Toll Systems: Lomasoft Consultants utilized various technologies, development tools, and databases to complete this project including Oracle database, PL/SQL, C++, Oracle Template Library (OTL), Oracle Call Interface (OCI), and multiple processor systems.  Lomasoft Consultants also participated in various other projects involving EZPASS Discount Modules and EZPASS Speed Enforcement utilizing various scripting tools and technologies including PL/SQL, C++, and Korn Shell.
  • TCA Conversion Project: Lomasoft Consultants acted as Senior Systems Analysts participating in the redesign and conversion of the TCA system, which supports processing of toll transactions by the Client EZPASS engine.  Additionally, Lomasoft designed modules to extract transactions from the TCA system and transfer them into the Client Oracle database, taking into consideration the schema and mapping of fields in order to convert data properly.  Lomasoft Consultants utilized various coding techniques and languages along with system and development tools including C++, ODBC, Korn Shell, and knowledge of automated transfers with FTP and TCP/IP networks.

 

Project: AutoSculpt Program

Client: Fortune 1000 Medical Product Company

Project Summary: Lomasoft Consultants designed a 3D graphics application allowing organizations to analyze, design, input measurements and sculpture artificial limbs.  Lomasoft consultants developed the software to share data and interface with client’s automate carving machine, enabling the transfer of digital models of an artificial limb into the machine.  Our team utilized various coding languages and system tools including C++ using Visual C++, MFC, and the Open Inventor Toolkit, and OpenGL.
